What follows are my menus of what I ate for the 500 calorie a day portion of the diet. Occasionally, I forgot to eat my fruit. At least once, I forgot to eat the breadstick. Obviously, I wasn’t so terribly hungry that I felt the need to eat every single thing! Most of the recipes came from The HCG Dieters Gourmet Cookbook. It went a long way toward making a very limited diet quite enjoyable and even something of an adventure.
I did not track beverages. My beverages consisted of water, coffee, green tea, white tea, yerba mate tea and other herbal teas, Zevia soda (for a few days), and homemade soda made with a SodaStream machine, liquid stevia extract, and Capella Flavor Drops.
